DESCRIPTION: Just 45 minutes north of Austin on IH 35 near Salado, the Solana Ranch offers some of the finest dove hunting in the state.

Members may hunt any of five Solana Farms.

Fields are planted with sunflower with mowed or shredded areas.  The sunflower will be left standing in the fields from September 1 - Winter Season with periodic shredding to expose additional feed for birds.

SEASON MEMBERSHIP FOR MEMBER + 1 GUEST                          $425.00

 The Solana Ranch also has available SEASON CORPORATE MEMBERSHIPS.  The Corporation buys 1 “Member Only” membership at $275.00  and pays $225.00 per hunter up to 7 for the season.

   As part of the membership benefits, hunters will have access to our year ’round clay bird range, the  pavilion which has BBQ pits, picnic tables and lodges that are available all year long for meetings or any occasion. The Solana Ranch employees are also available to point you in the right direction of where they have scouted birds that day.  We are always here to help make the most of your hunting experience.

   Members issued a membership card marked “ODD” may hunt September 1st, 3rd, 5th & 7th from noon to sunset during the first week of the season.  Members issued a membership card marked “EVEN” may hunt September 2nd, 4th & 6th from noon to sunset during the first week of the season.  Beginning  September 8th, ALL members may hunt from noon to sunset anytime during the season.  This schedule helps take the pressure off of the birds the first part of the season.  (Dates posted are subject to change).

   Members holding a member and guest card must be present and responsible for their guest.  For members holding corporate cards:  whomever is hunting from the corporation must have the corporate id card with them.

   Members & guests must sign a release form before entering any dove fields. 

NEW 2009-2010 DOVE SEASON SCHEDULE: 

Regular Season:  September 1st - October 25th     
Winter Season:  December 26th - January 9th

15 Bird Daily Bag Limit with a 30 Possession limit
