About
Hello fellow wing shooters, my name is Steven. I’ve been dove hunting since I was 17 years old, and now I’m 31. Over the years I’ve made many mistakes and learned many many things. I started this blog to try to help beginners avoid some of the growing pains I went through. I don’t claim to be the best shooter or smartest hunter, but I do claim to love the sport. I’ve been hunting Texas’s public land system for years and have found some good spots and plenty of bad ones. Each year, I go with my dad and brother. I have four sons, and the two oldest are going with us this year. The quality time that we get to spend each year is better than any amount of birds we bring home. I so look forward to the season, and this year is going to be really special for me, with my boys going. My goal with this blog is to help inform hunters, so they can be more successful hunting. There aren’t too many things better than watching a dove fold from flight. I love this sport, and this blog will help me stay more connected to it. I hope you enjoy it, and pass it along to everyone you know that also loves dove hunting.

Thanks for providing this service. I am trying out public lands first time this year. Looking forward to first good shoot. North Texas first split was not good, very few birds.

If your up for a drive, go to Mimosa Farms. My brother lives up that way and he will be the first to tell you it is worth the 5-6 hour drive.@Gerald Jordan
